A helping hand-
Typically we have a conference ambassador for all new attendees. This practice is on hold this year, however we have some volunteers to offer a helping hand if you have questions or want to "meet" someone before conference. They can email you and make you feel comfortable, walk into a crowded room with you, share a meal or introduce you around. Just let me know if you need a hand! [email protected]

Conference Charity

Picture
This year we will be donating to the Nanny Relief Fund.
Nanny Relief Fund was launched in April 2020 when the COVID-19 epidemic amplified the many inequities in the world of domestic employees, and the lack of protections and support accessible to nannies. We are a 501(c)3 non-profit organization that continues to support nannies through the countless invisible financial hardships they face due to circumstances outside their control. https://www.nannyrelieffund.org/

A word about significant others and children….

Please remember that significant others, husbands, wives and kids are important, but can not eat meals or join in conference festivities unless they are a registered attendee or have permission from Sue.  Sorry- and I appreciate your cooperation with this.

Friday Afternoon 12:30-3:30pm
The Nanny Intelligence Exchange
a Human Library-inspired event!
Your mission, should you choose to accept it, is to foster open conversation and exchange intelligence through the power of your personal story and expertise.
At this event, real people serve as "Human Books," sharing their personal stories and perspectives with "Readers" in a series of one-on-one or small-group conversations. The primary goal is to foster an open conversation that promotes further understanding through the exchange of information and experiences.
More information coming soon!!

Also on Friday night is our welcome reception.  We will have LIGHT snacks and a cash bar. This event is from 8pm to 10pm on Friday night and is a great way to meet new friends and old and kick off our fabulous weekend. Make sure to bring a little cash for your drink.

Friday night 8pm- 10 pm welcome to the Welcome Reception.

Attendees participating in Nannypalooza may be photographed by our event photographer or others involved with the program. These photographs may appear without compensation on social media, publications, on the Web, or other printed or electronic materials related to the role and function of the Nannypalooza. If you have any questions please contact Sue Downey. [email protected]

Direct Marketing Policy

Nannypalooza has always been supportive of those nannies who want to share their side businesses such as Jamberry Nails, jewelry sales, nanny related gear and the like. However, as more and more nannies are involved in these pursuits we have also had some concerns raised. Notably, not everyone will want to hear the sales pitch. Also a concern is that while we want to support nannies, we are also a business and offer vendor tables at a cost that goes to support the conference. It is not fair to Nannypalooza or to those who buy tables to allow others to solicit customers in general. I am instituting the following policy this year. It is a work in progress and I welcome any input.

Direct Marketing Policy:
There is vendor space available at a nominal cost if you choose to sell your products or services at Nannypalooza. If you choose not to buy a table, that is fine. We can add your company name to your name tag so that potential customers can ask you about your services. We will also allow you to distribute business cards in a special location during the networking break Saturday afternoon. We ask that you do not initiate conversations about your products but allow attendees to seek you out if they are interested.

Vendor Hall

Please visit our vendors listed here. We are so happy to have them in a large dedicated room this year right next door to our lounge. This is where our snack breaks will be served. Thanks to all our vendors!!
Vendor Hall open all day Saturday and Sunday until 10:30.

What to wear: Nannypalooza is a casual environment. While we ask you to dress appropriately, you should wear what makes you comfortable. What you wear for work, a nice pair of jeans and a nanny t-shirt, whatever makes you feel ready to learn.
Please note: Many attendees bring a hoodie or a sweater as conference rooms may be chilly at times.
