Alexandria School was founded in 2007 by Carolyn Stulberg, BSN, CCE, based on her passion for the highest quality in-home child care. With over 30 years of experience in child care education, Carolyn has worked in the pediatric wards and neonatal intensive care units of hospitals, taught prenatal, postnatal, parenting, grandparenting and breastfeeding classes, developed her own courses for creative play and current concepts in infant care, and is a mother of four herself. The instructors at Alexandria School, along with Carolyn and the school’s dedicated staff, are committed to educating and training nannies and newborn care specialists with a demanding, practical curriculum that will position graduates to be the best in the profession.
The International Nanny Association (INA), a nonprofit organization, serves as the umbrella organization for the in-home child care industry. Wendy Sachs is President and founder of The Philadelphia Nanny Network, Inc. (TPNN) She is also a founding member and past four-term President of the International Nanny Association, an organization she has also served as Secretary and Treasurer, board member and is current co-president. Sachs is a nationally recognized expert on the nanny profession and has given more than 500 interviews to network television, national magazines and leading newspapers during her career. She has appeared on national newscasts from NBC,CNBC and CNN, including the Today Show and The Oprah Winfrey Show. Sachs earned her undergraduate degree from Simmons College and her MBA from the University of Miami. She is the mother of two teenagers and an experienced nanny employer.
